இகழ்ந்தெள்ளாது ஈவாரைக் காணின் மகிழ்ந்துள்ளம்
உள்ளுள் உடைப்பது உடைத்து.

பொருள்: இகழ்ந்து எள்ளாமல் பொருள் கொடுப்பவரைக் கண்டால், இரப்பவரின் உள்ளம் மகிழ்ந்து உள்ளுக்குள்ளே உவகை அடையும் தன்மையுடையதாகும்.

When givers without scorn impart
A thrill of delight fills the heart.

English Meaning: Beggars rejoice exceedingly when they behold those who bestow (their alms) with kindness and courtesy.
