பயன்மரம் உள்ளூர்ப் பழுத்தற்றால் செல்வம்
நயனுடை யான்கண் படின்

பொருள்: ஒப்புராவாகிய நற்பண்பு உடையவனிடம் செல்வம் சேர்ந்தால் அஃது ஊரின் நடுவே உள்ள பயன் மிகுந்த மரம் பழங்கள் பழுத்தாற் போன்றது.

Who plenty gets and plenty gives
Is like town-tree teeming with fruits.

English Meaning: The wealth of a man (possessed of the virtue) of benevolence is like the ripening of a fruitful tree in the midst of a town.
