பெறுமவற்றுள் யாம்அறிவது இல்லை அறிவுஅறிந்த
மக்கட்பேறு அல்ல பிற.

பொருள்: பெறத் தகுந்த பேறுகளில், அறியவேண்டியவைகளை அறியும் நன்மக்களைப் பெறுவதைத் தவிர மற்றப் பேறுகளை யாம் மதிப்பதில்லை.

The world no higher bliss bestows
Than children virtuous and wise.
