அறிகொன்று அறியான் எனினும் உறுதி
உழையிருந்தான் கூறல் கடன்.

பொருள்: அறிவுறுத்துவாரின் அறிவையையும் அழித்துத் தானும் அறியாதவனாக அரசன் இருந்தாலும், அமைச்சன் அவனுக்கு உறுதியானவற்றை எடுத்துக்கூறல் க‌டமையாகும்.

English Meaning: Although the king be utterly ignorant, it is the duty of the minister to give (him) sound advice.
