சிறப்ஈனும்; செல்வமும் ஈனும்; அறத்தின்ஊஉங்கு
ஆக்கம் எவனோ உயிர்க்கு?

பொருள்: அறம், சிறப்பையும் அளிக்கும்; செல்வத்தையும் அளிக்கும்; ஆகையால் உயிர்க்கு அத்தகைய அறத்தைவிட நன்மையானது வேறு யாது?

From virtue weal and wealth outflow;
What greater good can mankind know?  

English Meaning: Virtue brings both wealth in this life and happiness in the next, making it the greatest source of joy and success. Nothing else can offer the same lasting benefits as living a good and moral life. Thiruvalluvar shows that virtue is the key to true happiness and fulfillment.
