திருக்குறள்

அழிவந்த செய்யினும் அன்பறார் அன்பின்
வழிவந்த கேண்மை யவர்.

பொருள்: அன்புடன் தொன்றுதொட்டு வந்த உறவை உடையவர், அழிவுதரும் செயல்களை பழகியவர் செய்த போதிலும் தம் அன்பு நீங்காமலிருப்பர்.

Comrades established in firm love
Though ruin comes waive not their vow.

English Meaning: Those who have (long) stood in the path of affection will not give it up even if their friends cause (them) their ruin.
